今天早上和平常一樣被暖氣的聲音叫醒. 看看外面還是滿黑的. "我不記得早上六點的天空是這麼的暗", 心想.到外面想到拿報紙進來, 發現還沒有報紙. "沒有理由這麼晚還沒有來", 開始覺得有問題.
進到屋裡看了下時間...五點十分.
這才想起昨天是舊的 Daylight Saving Time. 暖氣的定時系統自動的往前一個小時. 所以發生暖氣提早一小時的狀況.
調回到正確時間又回去繼續睡覺...直到暖氣在六點又準時的吵醒我.

每季的營業稅對 King County 來說, 9.5% 的營業稅已經不是新聞 (King County 餐館則是 10%). 對 Snohomish County 來說, 大多的城市終於追上了 King County 的營業稅. Pierce County 大多城市的 9.3% 還有待努力...

華盛頓州長和議會計畫在 2009 ~ 2011 年度, 裁減 Poison Center 的預算在 50% (州長)或 37% (議會). 在華盛頓州, 去年因有毒物而求助超過因車禍的人. 全美每年有超過兩百萬人因有毒物而求助. 其中超過一半為六歲以下的孩童, 90% 發生在家裡面. Poison Center 是幫助吃錯, 吸入或接觸有毒物的防線. 不只是一般社會大眾, 醫療體系也常常需要 Poison Center 的經驗和資訊.

今天一位工作的伙伴被請走了...他離開並不是因為裁員. 畢竟他以前就在這公司待過一段不短的日子. 離開後也斷斷續續的還幫公司做了幾個獨立專案. 最近的一次是約兩年前吧!!!所以當他提出回到公司時, 大家還滿高興. 這根本不用面談就直接上班的. 很不幸的, 約一個月前當他開始回到公司後, 大家發現他的心思似乎不在這裡. 一些很基本的程式問題對他現在而言卻是無比困難. 他似乎變了另一個人似的.
兩年可以讓一個人忘了一些以前賴以為生的吃飯傢伙? 實在是個很可怕的問題? 真的是要常常推著自己進步才行...
