今年 Issaquah Salmon Hatchery 開始殺魚取卵的日期是九月二十六日. 之後每個星期二早上九點起都會有殺魚取卵的工作, 一直到十一月中. 不過義工說, 來之前要告訴小朋友, 將會有非常血腥和殘忍的畫面. 讓小朋友有心理準備.每年都想去看看, 希望今年可以有這個機會.

最近家裡的小朋友喜歡玩線上的 Thinking Tank. 事實上他並不知道他是在線上玩, 他以為就是在玩電腦遊戲. 雖然他知道如何的前進, 後退, 左右轉彎和射擊這些基本動作, 沒有純熟的技術讓他很快的就被其他人給解決掉了. 不過他還是玩得很高興.
我們並不擔心他會使用聊天功能和其他的玩家聊天, 因為他並不知道有聊天這種功能. 我想也不會有人會想要和他聊天.
我反而對那些玩家感到非常的抱歉. 當他們在撕殺的同時, 是否知道和他們對決的, 有可能只是個三歲的小傢伙.

Live Village 現在有了 Beta 版本.Live Village 有點像 Lost in Seattle 的硬碟版. 不需要上網就可以查到西雅圖市區內的大大小小店的營業時間和資訊. 亦可隨時上網下載最新資訊.
利用地圖顯示的方式, 可以立即的找到想要去的店(如果有資訊)的營業時間, 資料和連結網站. 預設值是一樓, 如果想找的店家是在其他樓層, 必須要從選單上更改樓層. 比找電話簿方便多了...

Sounder Takes You With a Flash原來是有一個秘密的裸體海灘. 難怪搭火車時總是會看到. 根據報紙上報導, 那海灘是叫 "Peter Point", 並不是一個容易到達的海灘; 必須要非法穿越火車和油廠的土地. 正確的位置是約在 Woodway 和 Edmonds 之間. 火車上明顯的路標是看到 Point Wells 的油槽之後...或是看到許多乘車旅客開始往外張望... :-p
當在 1996 年搭乘 Amtrak Empire Builder 時, 我們就已經有了第一次的經歷. 那時是看到三位穿著"生日衣服"的男性, 其中一位還向火車招手.
後來 Sound Transit 開始每日的 Sounder 通勤火車, 這個海灘慢慢的就被通勤族給發現了. 現在似乎已經成為往北通勤火車的景點之一.
我並不喜歡坐在通勤火車靠海邊的那一側, 傍晚的太陽實在是太刺眼了, 一點也不能用電腦. 除非那天我沒有用電腦, 才會想要坐在靠海的那一側.
和往南 Tacoma 的 Sounder 火車比起來, 往北 Everett 的 Sounder 的確是有變化多了.
來西雅圖, 如果那天是個出太陽的好日子. 下午時刻, 別忘了來個火車之旅. 永遠也不知道會看見什麼有趣的東西. ^_^
